28 Aug eRead Africa Summer Program Day 20
Everything that has a beginning has an end and so today we have finally come to that stage were to had to say good bye to the kids that have been with us for the 20 days that the summer program ran for. It was a day of final presentations starting with Arts and coding. Kids show cased their final art and game designs; some very impressive and promising. Shows I did good or so I hope.
Dimobi turned 8 years and we sure had fun with his three layered cake of Batman, Spiderman and the Avengers. Our guest artist for the day was Mr. Dtone Martins he played his guitar and sang lots of tunes both in English and Yoruba.
You can’t take it away from seasoned media personality and children author Mrs. Funke Treasure, who delighted the kids with readings from her book “Memories of Grandma”.She also gave out books to those that answered her questions.
This was followed by the eRead Africa awards for coding, maths, creative writing and best behaved. It was an emotional moment having to see them go but here at the centre we never say goodbye but see you later.
